Starting the week motivated!
I really like my wii fit, but it is hard not to weigh yourself more that you should :/ I weighted my self today and in exactly one week I lost 3.3 lb!!!! I am so happy and very excited about this week coming up. I've been eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and yogurt as snacks and it is getting easier to beat the cravings.

Better today
Today was a better day as far as ignoring the cravings and eating right. I wrote down everything that I ate and I did pretty good. I haven't exercised, but I am going to wait for the girls to go to bed. I also had a lot of water to drink.
I have been meaning to write about the changes that I've made so far, so here it goes.
I don't eat the girls snacks anymore, or buy boxes of brownies, chocolate cake, or french bread ( I used to eat a loaf of bread in one sitting). Instead, I have been buying some of my favorite fruits and vegetables, wheat thins and yoplait light yogurt. I also haven't had any whoppers or taco bell, instead if I am out when it's time to eat I will get a sub from subway with one slice of meat, no cheese, and LOTS of veggies on wheat bread.
Trying to loose a lot of weight is very overwhelming, especially since my paxil makes me crave carbs, so, I am trying to take it one day at a time, one craving at a time and one workout at a time. ♡

Frustrating....
Today has been frustrating. It started out good, but after seeing my doctor about my paxil medication (for anxiety) I got anxious about my weight loss. I have been taking Paxil for about five years now. Well, recently my doctor informed me that Paxil makes you crave carbs, so, he decided to lower my dosage. That didn't work out, I tried the lower dosage for about a week but my anxiety was through the roof and I decided to go back up. Immediately I noticed the cravings he was talking about, but I did my best to ignore them. Today at my appointment he talked about how much harder it is going to be to loose weight with the higher dosage and how hard it is to ignore the cravings blah, blah, blah. Needless to say I could NOT stop thinking about the cravings.
I have read that writing down everything you eat helps, I didn't really see how. But I realized that at the end of the day I start to worry about how much I ate and what I ate. So, I decided that I am going to start writing down everything that I eat through out the day.
I had a good work out today, I walked/jogged on the treadmill. I could not find my ipod so I listened to music on the computer and it wasn't as fun, but regardless I still feel that I got a good work out. Tomorrow I think that I will go to Monte Berico to climb the stairs a few times. I don't have tennis shoes since my dog chewed my old ones, so I won't go to the gym until the new ones that my hubby bought me come in the mail (I can't wait)
Well, that is enough for today, hope that tomorrow it is better as far as my struggle with cravings go :)

So far, So good
So, as a New year resolution I had decided that I would finally loose this weight. Well, I feel like I need to write down my progress so that I can stay motivated. So far, I have done really good in sticking to my new way of eating, I don't want to say that I am on a diet, I just stopped stuffing my face with stuff that I know aren't good for me, and just making better choices when it comes to what to eat. ( I will write about my new eating later) I also have been working out. I had forgotten how good it feels to work out! I started on the 1st of Jan walking about 30 to 35 min on the treadmill, and yesterday I walked for an hour! I noticed that I will walk faster and longer if I am listening to music on my ipod vs on the computer. Something about the music blasting right in your ear just makes you work harder :) I also have been using my wii fit (after about a year of having it) I have been doing yoga and just playing the games on it I feel sore after, and my girls love to play the games too. Last week I went to Monte Berico, which is a big hill downtown, and climbed the 190 steps twice. I was So sore afterwards! I can't wait to do it again, my daughters been home from school this week so I haven't gotten the chance. Well that is it for now, it is 1am and my daughter is awake asking for water. I am going to start writting about the changes I make, my progress and goals as far as weight loss goes here so that I can keep track. Wish me luck:)

Practice for school
Ok, so my oldest daughter is starting kindergarten this year! Yay! Very exciting, but I am a little nervous about not getting her ready for shcool in time, getting all the supplies that she needs, ect...
So, I will be working this week at IACS. Jillian is going to the states for a week. I am going to use this time to practice getting the girls up and ready for school. Last week I took their nap time away and started to get them in bed by eight, so far, so good.

The problem is getting up on time and being ready by the time it is time to leave the house. Isabelle is no problem, she is always the first one to wake up. She gets up and gets dressed before anybody. Kaitlyn on the other hand, will stay in bed for about an hour after she wakes up and then takes her pillow and blanket down stairs to lay on the couch! Well, my friend will be watching them on Mon and Tue because Shaughn works night shifts and sleeps during the day. He's off for the rest of the week so he'll be home with the girls. Monday we did good, they were dressed and ready to go 20min early, so that was good.
I started to look into chores for kids and different charts. I decided that making them do chores is a good way to get them in a schedule and teach them responsability. I learned to start out small and then add chores as time goes by, so I printed a chart from http://www.freeprintablebehaviorcharts.com/ and started out with three "chores" for each of the girls: Teeth brushing, getting dressed, and washing hands. I decided those are the most important things they can do for themselves. Later, I will add getting their clothes ready the day before, picking up their toys and putting their shoes away as soon as they come in the house. The plan is for them to color in the square for the day and chore if they did it , at the end of the week if they did all their chores, then they will get a treat, weather it is going out for ice cream or pick out a small toy. At the end of the month if they did all their chores, then they get a trip to the disney store to pick out a toy.
Hopefully this works out and gets them into a good routine. I shall post how it goes later! Ciao!

Long time, no write

Ok, so I completely forgot about this blog for a couple of months! Let see, what have I been up to? Well, right now I have a T O O T H A C H E!!! So, this is how it works when you are in the army and overseas, the dental clinic on post can only see Soldiers right now because there are so many of them, so, family members have to go off base to an italian dentist. Also, you need to sign up for a different dental plan. Well, I have a toothache, I called the emergency dentist on post and he said to take some motrin and get some rest. (OK) And to go to sick-call in the morning. (Sick-call means certain time for walk-ins) So I did. I waited for almost three hours so that the dentist could tell me that I need a root canal, and I have to go off post to get it done. I go to sign up for the tricare dental plan and they say that it will not be effective until the 1st of October! So basically if I go right now to the dentist off post I have to pay out of pocket.
Anyway, I have been really into my photography, I love photography! My hubby bought me a Nikon D60 and I love it! I have an etsy shop online, where people sell handmade stuff. I sell prints of photographs that I have taken here in Italy. I also quit my full time job and only work as on-call, and I deliver the paper in villaggio on the weekends.
Summer is going by so fast! I had three different visitors from the states this summer. My highschool friend, Melissa, came for a week. We went to Milan, Verona, Venice, Florence, Soave, and Pisa. All in ONE week! It was crazy. Then I had one of my best friends, Janice and her cousin, Lisandra, come visit. They were here for a few weeks. I had alot of fun with them. I really miss Janice. Last I had my family, my mom, dad, and sister visit. they were also here for a few weeks. We had so much fun! We went camping around Pisa and I went to Rome and saw my first Tuscan sunflower field, it was great.
