Yellow

YELLOW!!! Was the color of the week last week, I know, I procrastinated and yesterday I took this picture at the park. The color was supposed to be crayola yellow which is darker than this yellow, but this is all that I could find last minute. This week is pacific blue, so, I am going to start looking for stuff tomorrow that is pacific blue......

Such an addict...

These are the soy chips that I wrote about in my last post, they are really good, and very addicting. I catch myself going back to grab a few more and more. I also wrote about Fuze drink, it is too sweet. I finished it in about three days, because I could only drink a few sips at a time.

Yesterday I tried some Quaker Tortillaz chips, quacamole flavor, they were really good:) The have 10 less calories than the soy chips.

Anyway, the past few days it's been hard not snack more that I should, I've had strong cravings when I am not even hungry. I don't know if I have been extra anxious, or just bored. Thursday night I made grilled chicken, steamed broccoli and cauliflower with brown rice. Well, it was the first time making brown rice and the last.... Not sure if I did it right, but it took forever to cook, and I didn't like the way it tasted. I ended up just eating the chicken and vegetables which was good. My husband in the other hand was not fond of the veggies. Yesterday I made turkey burgers, the last time that I made them they were too dry, I made them too thick. This time I added worcestershire sauce and soy sauce, onions, garlic and adobo. They turned out really good! I used wheat hamburger buns too. I also had steamed corn on the cob.

As far as exercise goes, I am embarrassed to say that every day of the week I made excuses for not going to the gym to try a class and figured that I was just scared to go by myself (miss you Ashlie!!!!!) I really want to try the Zumba class and spinning. Instead I walked on my treadmill at home and did crunches, leg lifts and push ups.

Mid week update


This week is going by fast! Let's see, Monday, Tuesday, and today I've had Special K and fruit for breakfast. For lunch, either tuna salad, no mayo, just a little bit of italian dressing, or a salad with lots of veggies. For dinner I made steak tacos, I had one on a wheat tortilla. For snacks I've had wheat thins, fruit, or yogurt. I tried these soy chips, ranch flavor, and I am hooked! I have a couple with lunch. I also tried a Fuze drink, I have read about liquid calories and I've been trying not to let them sneak in. The Fuze drink only has 5 calories, but it was too sweet for my taste.

As for workouts, Monday and Tuesday I walked with my dog sizzles. Today, I had a great workout. I took my friend's husky, Bella, to a field near my house, and ran sprints back and forth with her. I walked, skipped and walked backwards in between sprints. I did that for about 45 min. Tomorrow I am going to the gym to try out a class.

Frosted

Every time that I think of the word frosted, I think of the movie How to loose a guy in ten days. The commercial that they do in the movie about jewelry, they call the jewelry frost. Anyway, today I went for a walk around my neighborhood and took some pictures of the snow........

Busy weekend.....

It has now been a whole month since I started my journey to loosing weight!! And....(drumroll please...) I've love 4lbs. I was hoping for more, but I pretty much lost a pound a week which is what the doctors recommend.

This weekend was my husband's and my daughter's birthday, I didn't have cake, or cupcakes, I did have a slice of pizza and one small sneakers bar and half of a bk mocha :( I felt really guilty afterwards, but it is a new week and so far I've eaten well.

As far as working out I walked for about an hour on Saturday outside in the snow and yesterday I didn't do anything. Today I will walk on the treadmill when the girls go to bed.

It's been a couple of days since I wrote anything. It's been busy around here, my daughter turns four on sunday so I've been trying to plan her party and today we had cake at her preschool. Also, I had some trouble with my dog yesterday escaping, but I won't talk about that. Anyway, I am happy to say that it is actually getting easier to eat healthier and easier to resist cravings although I have to say I don't get them as much as I used to. I did have a BK mocha drink the other day......
Here in Italy they don't have a starbucks (which I MISS) so, it was a nice change to drink this. I craved one today so I split it with my husband. Other than that, I have been eating well. I got my Easytone tennis shoes in the mail yesterday, I love them. It took a few minutes to get used to the extra height, and they hurt my feet a little when I walked on the treadmill, but I just have to get used to them. I was really busy today and didn't get a chance to use them, but I am looking forward to working out with them tomorrow and when I feel comfortable enough go to a class at the gym.

Today I started the day with a bowl of Special K with %2 milk, for mid morning snack I had about 20 grapes and water. I fought the temptation to get a cappuccino from post. Lunch was tuna melt and some grapes, and for dinner I wasn't very hungry so I had a bowl of Special K. I had to drop the car off at the car shop so I walked home, which was about a 30 min walk. At home I did yoga with the wii fit.

I have been reading a lot of blogs about health and fitness and weight loss success stories, I really like reading them it is inspiring and motivating. I can't wait to loose this weight, not just to be skinny again, but to be healthy, sleep through the night (I am in the beginning stage of sleep apnea), and to be a good example to my kids, I don't want them to see me as fat or overweight. Anyway, that is it for tonight, tomorrow I am going to try to go to Berico, and hopefully I will have my shoes in the mail.
